Nike unveils new consumer website

Nike introduced a revamped retail website this month.

While Nike likes to sell its stuff anywhere, the Oregon-based sports equipment company really likes to sell its shoes, apparel and other items directly to consumers -- either through its company-owned stores or its website, Nike.com.

Direct to consumer sales largely cut out the middle players so that Nike is able to retain more money for the company.
