Harvest festivals attract thousands of visitors, boosting local economies.
[Willamette Valley Fruit Co.] owner Jeff Roth, who organized the festival, tells his employees the event is about the three Es — enjoyment, employment and economy.
“If we can contribute to the local economy and we are able to have a thriving business, that gives some hope that other parts of the community can benefit and grow economically as well,” said Roth, who was wearing a corn cob atop his head.
