ZeaChem joins renewable fuel campaign

ZeaChem joined a new coalition, Fuels America, to defend the U.S. renewable fuel standard.

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is considering a request to waive the standard, which requires transportation fuel to be blended with a portion of fuel made from renewable sources.

"Fuels America is built around one core idea: renewable fuel is essential to the U.S. economy, our nation’s energy security, our rural communities and the environment,” said former Congressman Jim Greenwood, president and CEO of Biotechnology Industry Organization, in a press release. “
