Green sports report highlights Trail Blazers, Timbers

A Natural Resources Defense Council report on the greening of the sports industry highlights efforts by the Portland Trail Blazers and Portland Timbers.

The Trail Blazers star in one of 20 detailed case studies presented in the report.

Jeld-Wen Field, home of the Portland Timbers, is also highlighted in the report for its LEED-Silver certification. Jeld-Wen is the oldest stadium to become LEED-certified.
