The Oregon Parks and Recreation Commission is studying future options for the state fair.

Various solutions have floated around for years, including moving the fair or changing the governance structure.

The idea of picking up and moving a fair to another city may sound unusual to some, but it isn’t unheard of in other states. Nebraska and Virginia, for example, recently moved their state fair to other cities.
