Boeing benefits Gresham

Boeing's new chemical processing plant cements the company as the largest manufacturing employer in Gresham.

The plant employs about 1,800 workers – 350 of them added just since the company broke ground on the new facility two years ago.

“Doing this expansion really is a great indication of their commitment to this location and their willingness to maintain a presence in Oregon,” in part because of its workforce, [Gresham's economic development director Janet] Young said. “There’s a workforce in this region that knows how to do manufacturing.”
