TechAmerica closes Oregon chapter

Trade group TechAmerica shuttered its Oregon chapter and other local groups across the country to focus on national policy efforts.

TechAmerica Oregon's members and directors are shifting their memberships and regional efforts to the former Software Association of Oregon, which renamed itself the Technology Association of Oregon in June.

TechAmerica -- originally the West Coast Electronic Manufacturers Association, and later the American Electronics Association -- has Oregon roots stretching back to the 1950s.
