Oregon gas prices are expected to inch up in August, though they have held steady at $3.64 during the past week.

The national average for a gallon of regular unleaded inched up another two cents to $3.50 since last Tuesday. Marie Dodds, a spokeswoman for AAA of Oregon and Idaho, said she expects Oregon to follow suit.

Exactly how much pump prices go up depends largely on hurricane season, the debt crisis in Europe and events in the middle east, she said.
