Adidas releases adizero Primeknit

A day before the Olympic opening ceremonies, Adidas introduced the adizero Primeknit.

Photos of the shoe show a remarkable similarity to the Nike Flyknit shoe that the Oregon-based sporting goods company introduced in February at an Olympics-themed product launch.

Nike officials have also touted the Flyknit's sustainability attributes, noting that the shoe would not result in waste of used parts or wholesale destruction of material. Adidas' Primeknit appears to use the same approach.
