Car2Go announces multi-city memberships

Car-sharing service Car2Go will allow its members multi-city access to cars within the United States.

Car2Go, a subsidiary of Daimler North America Corp., launched its point-to-point car-sharing service Portland this spring. Now members of the service can also access Car2Go cars in Austin, Texas; San Diego and Washington D.C. The company will add service in Miami later this month.

In all, U.S. members will have access to 1,300 cars. Of those, 300, based in San Diego, are all-electric smart cars. Car2Go members visiting other participating cities will have access to the Car2Go cars.
