Software Association of Oregon changes name

The Software Association of Oregon changed its name to the Technology Association of Oregon, similar to the also-changing TechAmerica Oregon.

[TechAmerica Oregon's] two top staffers have quit, and its chairman, Allen Alley, has just joined the board of the new TAO.

Last summer, TAO (then known as SAO) hired Skip Newberry to take over the organization and tasked him with networking high-tech companies inside the state and improving Oregon's profile externally.
