Portland International Airport will join a dozen other airports in offering prescreening by the Transportation Security Administration.

The program will speed up security clearance for certain frequent flyers.

The initiative allows passengers to volunteer information about themselves before traveling domestically to speed up checkpoint screening. Individuals can apply at globalentry.gov.

TSA will continue random security measures.
