Portland-based Naturally Advanced Technologies teamed up with Lenzing Group to blend fibers for high-performance fabrics.

"With Lenzing, we can now evaluate the opportunity to expand the hose fibers with which Crailar can blend to identify new performance attributes, applications and industries," said Ken Barker, Naturally Advanced's CEO in a press release. "This is truly a new frontier for the future of our natural fibers."

Other Naturally Advanced partners includes Hanes, Live Strauss & Co, Carhartt and Target.

Bioscience complex will house six local companies in 2013

From Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute: OTRADI today announced its plans to open and operate a 13,000 square-foot multi-tenant bioscience complex in the Willamette Wharf building at 4640 SW Macadam Avenue.
