Oregon Attorney General John Kroger will resign this summer to become president of Portland's Reed College.
He'll become Reed's 15th president in July—seven months before his public job is scheduled to end—despite declining to run for re-election as the top official at the Oregon Department of Justice for health reasons he won't disclose. "Reed College is a remarkable institution with an unparalleled commitment to the life of the mind," Kroger said in a statement today.
