Foreclosure filings in Portland and Oregon jumped in February, yet remained below the level they were one year ago.
In the Portland area, filings rose 21.6 percent in February. The increase was driven largely by an increase in scheduled foreclosure auctions, the initial filing for a foreclosure in Oregon. Still, filings remained 30.1 percent lower than one year earlier. Across Oregon, foreclosure filings rose 7.48 percent in February, but remained 27.8 percent lower than a year earlier.
