Google-backed RelayRides is coming to Portland, the second peer-to-peer car sharing service in the area.

Car owners signed up for the service make on average $250 per month, with some earning up to $1,000, while providing a service to neighbors or complete strangers who don’t own a vehicle, the company said.
“Since the day we first launched in Boston, we have received thousands of requests to expand into more communities," said RelayRides founder Shelby Clark. “Today, we are thrilled to be able to finally meet this demand.”
