Eugene entrepreneurs Chad Barczak and Jeff Kast provide search features for real estate websites nationwide. Today, IDX is one of the nation’s leading providers of real estate search applications, and more than 25,000 real estate agents use IDX software. IDX created the platform that developers use to display MLS (Multiple Listing Service) data on Realtor websites. It enables a potential home buyer to go to a Realtor’s website and search for bank-owned properties, or homes in a certain neighborhood in a certain price bracket, with certain amenities, such as a view or waterfront. “We’re the engine of the car,” Barczak said. “You don’t see us, but we drive a lot of websites.” Read more at The Register-Guard.
