Senior housing projects led Lane County's commercial real estate market in 2011.

 

“We were very busy last year,” said Tim Campbell, whose company brokered four of the top 25 deals. “The commercial market is rebounding quicker than people ever expected.”
The biggest deal for the year — $18.6 million — was one of five senior living centers that changed hands.
Three of the five deals happened in May when the 17-year-old, Wilsonville-­based Avamere Group, Inc., sold its senior housing and health care centers to Nationwide Health Properties of Newport Beach, Calif., a real estate investment trust.
