Oregon officials have until the end of the week to come up with flood cleanup cost estimates to apply for federal aid.
Salem City Manager Linda Norris said predictions of heavy rain returning to the area later this week have the city on standby. "At this point, we are asking people to keep their eyes open to creeks and high water," she said. "We are asking that residents keep any sandbags they might have in place for the time being."
