Local hardware stores throughout Oregon are seeing a surge of customers as rain continues to pour down.
Manager Wendy Fisher said she's seen an uptick in the sales of extenders to take the walls of water cascading out of gutters away from their homes. Still, she's expecting business to pick up as the rains continue to soak the region. "People are a bit timid to go outdoors right now, but we're getting the calls for sure," she said. "People are just getting soaked and are doing whatever they can to get water away from their foundations." Read more at OregonLive.com. |

Bioscience complex will house six local companies in 2013
