Local hardware stores throughout Oregon are seeing a surge of customers as rain continues to pour down.
Manager Wendy Fisher said she's seen an uptick in the sales of extenders to take the walls of water cascading out of gutters away from their homes. Still, she's expecting business to pick up as the rains continue to soak the region. "People are a bit timid to go outdoors right now, but we're getting the calls for sure," she said.
