SolarWorld is installing solar panels on the rooftop of its Hillsboro plant as part of a solar demonstration park.
This month, SolarWorld started the installation of nearly 1 megawatt of solar panels on top of its 210,000-square-foot manufacturing facility, which the company built in 2009. Last fall, SolarWorld built a 30-kilowatt solar-covered carport — an installation that provides coverage for 14 cars and one electric vehicle charger — as well as a solar demonstration park featuring four model rooftops exhibiting a variety of installation technologies. The new projects were set up to give customers a way to see SolarWorld panels at work in a variety of settings. From Oregon Translational Research and Development Institute: OTRADI today announced its plans to open and operate a 13,000 square-foot multi-tenant bioscience complex in the Willamette Wharf building at 4640 SW Macadam Avenue.
