Local makers and sellers of University of Oregon Ducks merchandise are benefiting from the team's Rose Bowl win.
“This is a great thing for us, for the community and for the university,” said John Henzie, the owner of Triangle Graphics. “By the end of the week, we’ll have already done a month’s worth of business.”
Rhea Ford of Potter Manufacturing in Eugene, which makes UO decals for the Duck Store, said that, because of the university’s bowl losses the past two years, the business had experienced good pregame but poor postgame sales.
“We were definitely on pins and needles watching (the game),” she said. “Everyone was overjoyed they pulled it off, for various reasons.”
