Legacy Health Systems may layoff 400 in its six hospitals due to Medicaid cuts. A spokesperson for Legacy says a gap in Medicaid reimbursement of nearly $30 million is responsible. The hospital has a steering committee working to see where the layoffs will need to come from. He says they hope to know by mid January how many positions may need to be laid off, and once the committee comes to a decision, the layoffs are expected by Feb. 15. Read more at Fox 12 Oregon.
