McMenamins crowdfunding effort nets $6.3M

The company will use the money to jump-start a redevelopment project in Bothell, Washington.

McMenamins figured most of its investors would be either fans of the company or have an interest in the redevelopment of the Anderson School, a landmark considered key to Bothell's downtown redevelopment effort. Indeed, most of the investors are from the Northwest, the company said.

The redevelopment will include a 73-room hotel, restaurants and bars, on-site brewery, meeting space, a pool and a spa.
