Statesman-Journal publisher takes job with Gannett Company

The move follows Gannett's decision to spin off two companies separating its publishing and broadcasting divisions.

After serving as the Statesman Journal's publisher for six years, Steve Silberman is moving on to a new job.

Silberman said Tuesday that he has accepted a strategic planning and initiatives position with Gannett Company Inc. Gannett is the Statesman's corporate parent
