TriQuint Semiconductor reported Q2 financial results above forecasts; the Hillsboro-based company will merge with RF Micro Devices later this year.
Second-quarter revenues totaled $230.8 million, up 21 percent from a year ago and above TriQuint's forecast, which topped out at $225 million. Profits totaled $5.2 million, or 3 cents a share. That's up from a loss of $14.9 million, 9 cents a share, in the second quarter last year.
Still, investors may have been hoping for better. Shares closed Wednesday at $17.25, down 53 cents before TriQuint reported financial results. They fell another 55 cents in after-hours trading.
