The Oregon sports footwear and apparel company raised $27.8 billion for the year; fourth quarter revenue grew 11% to $7.4 billion.
"Another solid quarter," said Brian Yarbrough, consumer discretionary analyst for Edward Jones. "They continue to just tear the cover off the ball. It's hard to find any flaws in any category. They are firing on all cylinders."
One of those cylinders would include soccer. And with the World Cup in full swing in Brazil and with Nike competing to be the world's No. 1 soccer brand, the company's performance in soccer is of more interest than ever.
Nike reported sales of $2.27 billion in soccer in its fiscal year ending in May, up 18 percent from the last fiscal year.
