St. Louis capital group buys Portland tech company

Revelation Global was acquired by Thompson Street Capital Partners as part of a drive to add qualitative research assets.

Revelation does research facility video streaming, webcam focus groups and studies of mobile device use, among other things.

Although it does not disclose sale prices, Thompson Street, which had revenue of $685 million in 2013, generally buys companies with earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation and amortization of $4 million to $15 million.
