Amorphyx seeks to reshape business of display manufacturing

Team members hope the process they are developing will be adopted by the world's largest display manufacturers.

Intel veteran Bill Cowell and Amorphyx co-founder and chief executive John Brewer Jr. are preparing for a whirlwind, four-day trip to Taipei, Japan and South Korea, where they will meet with executives of major display manufacturing companies including Samsung and Sony. They hope to make progress toward an agreement to cooperate in testing and refining a process that would replace silicon-based transistors with amorphous metals-based resistors.
