A growing number of businesses are finalizing lease agreements in Parkway Village.
With the first retailers in the $50 million center expected to open by late summer, about 350 people eventually will find jobs at Walmart and other shops and restaurants. Another 250 people are working on the construction phase, according to Gramor.
Gramor and Sherwood's Langer family are partners in Parkway Village, originally known as Sherwood Town Center. It includes a 150,000-square-foot Walmart and another 46,500-square-feet for other retailers. In about two years, the partners plan to begin a second phase of Parkway Village next door that also will have retail shops and offices but probably not a giant anchor store, Cain said.
