Portland coffee company enters singles market

Boyd Coffee Company released single-cup coffees for K-Cup brewers.

Single-cup coffee sales now account for more than 25 percent of every dollar Americans spend on the java they drink at home. That number could reach 50 percent by 2018, according to the market researcher Mintel.

More restaurants and offices are also using the single-cup format, according to Mintel.
