The new design focuses on pedestrian entrances and outward-facing storefronts.

The entrance tweaks are described as the first phase in a phased redevelopment. Architects also identified potential for future redevelopment on nearby sites, including the anchor store Nordstrom will vacate, the block occupied by Regal Cinema, and other surrounding parking lots.

Architects for Lloyd Center owners Cypress Equities presented their newest proposals to Portland's Design Commission on Friday, its second round seeking design advice.
