WelVU was awarded a $100,000 convertible note from The Social+Capital Partnership.

Portland-based WelVU, which last month announced a $1.25 million angel round, is developing a platform for physicians to create custom, patient-specific videos. With these videos, health care providers can better educate patients on their specific care.

In addition to the investment, the company will be featured in the Box Apps Martketplace and receive marketing and sales support from Box. There is also the potential for a pilot project with Dignity Health, which is one of the five largest health care systems in the country.
