One million tickets sold through TriMet app

The mobile ticketing app has been downloaded more than 80,000 times.

“We’re excited with how riders have been so quick to use this new app,” said TriMet General Manager Neil McFarlane in the release. “It’s demonstrates that our customers support our efforts to making riding the system easier.”

An e-fare system will also soon be coming to Portland, allowing riders to choose from a variety of easy payment options. According to the press release, public testing of the system will begin in 2016 with a full system wide launch scheduled for 2017.
