Coal terminal request another permit delay

Ambre Energy requested the Department of State Lands wait 30 days before deciding on the proposal to build a coal export terminal in Boardman.

Ambre asked for the decision to be delayed until 30 days after federal agencies reviewing the project release key documents that the state is seeking. The company doesn’t expect those to be out until the second half of the year.

“The project will provide the requested documents as soon as they become available,” Ambre spokeswoman Liz Fuller said in a statement. “We are fully committed to meeting all permitting standards.”
