Oregon workforce to grow by 15 percent

The state's workforce is projected to increase by 258,000 jobs in 10 years.

That 15 percent increase will be driven by growth in the private sector, including 47,000 new jobs from within professional and business services. That category is led by computer systems design — including Portland's hot software cluster — which is forecast to become the state's fastest-growing job creator, adding 5,000 jobs. That's a 42 percent growth rate over the decade.
