Unemployment drops in Marion, Polk Counties

Marion County had an unemployment rate of 7.3% in February. In Polk County, unemployment declined from 8.2% to 6.6% last month.

Marion County’s unemployment rate is still higher than both the state and nationwide averages, which hover around 6.9 and 6.7 percent, respectively.

Overall, 14 Oregon counties had rates at or below the statewide average, including Polk County.
