Growing beer industry keeps people working

The number of permitted breweries in Oregon grew from 149 to 208 in 2013.

New breweries don’t just mean a new selection to choose from; they also help to keep more than two million Americans at work including farmers, factory workers, brewers and bartenders. The Institute’s 2012 Beer Serves America study concluded the combined economic impact of the industry was $246.5 billion.
