Oregon food inspectors overworked

Only 68% of the state's grocery stores, bakeries and food warehouses receive a yearly health inspection.

Just 28 inspectors are responsible for licensing and inspecting about 12,100 such establishments. Seven more consult on new store openings and pitch in occasionally.
