Labor Commissioner Brad Avakian wants to re-assess the state's minimum wage to ensure workers remain above the federal poverty line.
Oregon’s minimum wage this year is $9.10 per hour, second in the nation only to Washington’s $9.32. They are among 11 states that link annual increases in the minimum wage to inflation. Twenty-one states and Washington, D.C., have higher minimums than the federal rate, according to the National Conference of State Legislatures.
