The state ranks sixth nationally and sends technology products worth $6.4 billion overseas each year.

Oregon’s tech exports are actually trending downward, according to TechAmerica’s data. That reflects, to some degree, the flattening of Intel’s business as consumers shift away from Intel-powered PCs and laptops to smartphones and tablets that run on chips from rival ARM Holdings.
