Oregon solar panel firm to restart

SoloPower Systems Inc. is working on plans to begin production at its Portland factory.

SoloPower announced Thursday that it hadsecured bridge financing as the deal comes together. Despite the news, Oregon officials said the company still was unlikely to make a required $119,000 payment on a $10 million loan from the state.

Campbell confirmed the company "will be making a partial payment" on the loan to the Oregon Department of Energy. But he wrote in the email Sunday that he expects SoloPower to be in fully compliant within months.
