Co-packing helps food companies sell in broader markets

A company in Lane County offers co-packing services to small businesses unable to package their own products.

Co-packing manufactures and packages food products for other businesses that don’t have the time, capacity or a commercially licensed kitchen to process their own products for sale at farm stands, farmers’ markets, exhibitions, restaurants and grocery stores.

David Clark’s co-packing work for companies such as Dari Mart Stores, GloryBee Foods, Deck Family Farm in Junction City, Walker Farms of Siletz and Luna & Larry’s Coconut Bliss in Eugene now accounts for at least 20 percent of his $200,000 gross yearly sales.
