Portland SEO firm Anvil Media will merge in January with Formic Media, a similar Portland company.
Formic, founded in 2008, will no longer exist as its six employees are added to Anvil Media, founded in 2000, to create one agency of 18 people.
"While the agencies were initially created with different purposes, they began to evolve and paths converged over the past year or so. After months of planning and analysis, we determined a merger was the best path forward for success for all involved," said Kent Lewis, President and Founder of Anvil Media and Formic Media. "We will gain significant efficiencies across the board, leveraging a combined executive, marketing, sales and operations infrastructure."
