Oregon's latest jobs report will be released November 19, five weeks later than planned, due to the federal government shutdown.
Skipping a monthly report is an unprecedented move, said Graham Slater, the research administrator at the Oregon Employment Department. But all states are facing the same situation, he said.
The federal Bureau of Labor Statistics collects the information, then sends it out to state offices that release the reports. The 16-day shutdown threw the federal office off-schedule, Slater said.
