PeaceHealth begins construction

PeaceHealth's central Eugene campus is undergoing demolition as part of a $13.6 million construction project.

“This is part of the ongoing renewal of this (University District) campus,” said Philip Farrington, director of land use planning and development for PeaceHealth’s Oregon West network.

The new unit will be a third larger than the Johnson Unit, with double the number of secure beds, and designed for improved patient privacy and security and staff safety, hospital officials said.
