Government shutdown weighs on Oregon's economy

About one-third of Oregon's 27,700 federal employees are likely to be furloughed due to the government shutdown.

The Oregon Military Department furloughed about 1000 soldiers and some training may be rescheduled. Parks and visitors centers operated by the US Army Corps of Engineers will be closed.

Getting a firearm in Oregon should remain intact.
