Judith Johansen stepped down as president of Marylhurst University. Retired Willamette University president Jerry Hudson was named interim president.

In a statement released to students, employees and alumni, the trustees gave no reason for Johansen's sudden departure, and board president Andy MacRitchie could not immediately be reached for comment.

Johansen led Marylhurst for five years, after serving two years as CEO of the Bonneville Power Administration and five years as president of PacifiCorp. She served on and chaired Marylhurst's board of trustees until 2007.
