Industrial staffing agency LaborWorks opened a branch in Tigard, its 11th along the West Coast.
The positions are generally blue collar, manual labor jobs ranging from construction, warehouse to landscaping work. Applications entail integrity surveys, employee applications and interviews to identify skill-sets.
LaborWorks Chief Financial Officer Al Bacon said the office has placed about 60 workers in positions since it started, but can handle thousands of active employees. Busy offices can place between 100 to 250 workers a day, Bacon said.
