Rudy Crew held 25 jobs in 40 years

Oregon's former chief education officer Rudy Crew's resume shows a work history with many jobs, and a tendency to skip around from job to job.

The final six months of his time here were a microcosm of his career: Winning educational reform victories even while his attention often was focused elsewhere.

For his part, Crew says his work here was done.

“In accomplishing my major goal of establishing higher standards for educational performance in Oregon, I wish the students of Oregon the educational improvements they richly deserve,” he said in an exclusive statement to the Statesman Journal.
